Okosun Christopher Oseje is a Nigerian visual artist born and raised in Lagos State, originally from Edo State. Working across painting, drawing and sculpture, he uses acrylic, mixed media, pencil and ballpoint pen to create expressive, figurative pieces that are increasingly oriented toward conceptual exploration. Guided by his muse rather than fixed themes, Christopher moves freely between subjects and moods, united by a belief in the beauty, freedom and emotional power of art.

Largely self-taught in his early years, he later studied art at Auchi Polytechnic, where he refined his technical skills and broadened his visual language under the guidance of his lecturers. His practice is informed by a wide range of influences, including Abiodun Olawale Olakun, Jimoh Isaac, Dotun Popoola, Bamishile Daniel, Michelangelo and Leonardo da Vinci

Alongside his personal studio practice, Christopher regularly assists other artists and undertakes commissioned works, translating clients’ ideas into distinctive, hand-crafted pieces. He continues to experiment on canvas and paper as he expands the conceptual dimension of his work.
